Camila Cabello delivers on a Spanish flip of “Havana.” Singer Camila Cabello has further deepened the nod to her roots in “Havana” by releasing a remix that’s primarily in Spanish.
This time around the Cuban-American songstress has recruited Puerto Rican singer and rapper Daddy Yankee in lieu of the track’s original featured artist, Young Thug. The song’s same infectious backdrop, courtesy of Pharrell and Frank Dukes, is present as the chorus maintains its original form in English.
Notably, “Havana” has done its best overseas, managing to earn Gold and Platinum certifications in other countries that include Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, but not having much to show in sales in the United States as far as unit sales go.
This new version serves as a perfect ode to the international community from which Cabello has garnered support since her departure from the Fifth Harmony singing group.
