The Game links with Young Thug, Jeremih, and Sevyn Streeter on new single “Oh I.” The Game may have vowed a sixty-day social media hiatus, but that doesn’t mean he can’t deliver some music in the process. The Compton legend has recently emerged from his self-imposed hibernation to deliver a new single called “Oh I.”
The track, which features Young Thug, Jeremih, and Sevyn Streeter is heavy on the soulful, throwback vibes (appropriately so, seeing as it is Throwback Thursday), with a sample from the 1997 Blackstreet and Foxy Brown collaboration “Gotta Get You Home Tonight.”
The track, which is produced by best-name-ever contender Bongo The Drum Gawd, is now available in select international markets, with a worldwide drop scheduled for midnight.
The track finds Game delivering one for the ladies, spitting game about the benefits of Snapchat pimpin’. “She gettin’ naked on the snap cause it disappears,” raps Game, “I have seen that pussy for a second I said bring it here.” However, while their flying kicked off on a playful and promiscuous note, the waters have since become rocky.
To make matters worse, Game’s girl has taken to delivering her texts through with the dreaded ALL CAPS, and if you’ve ever been on the receiving end of such a text, you can attest that there are few worse fates. “Now you mad, texting in all caps, like I just didn’t put my kids on your back,” raps Game. Come on lady, he trusted you.
With Jeremih, Thugger, and Sevyn on board, it’s no surprise that “Oh I” is a melodic affair. Thug comes through with a post-chorus of sorts, reflecting on some of his painful memories. Perhaps there’s some truth to the emotional lyrics, considering his widely publicized breakup with fiancee Jerrika Karlae.
“Poured my heart inside your double cup, at the park when the first batter up, I got scars from your nails when we fucked,” raps Thug, ever the romantic.
